Clifford Township Historical Society, Inc. cleans up Rt. 2014 "Adopt-A-Highway"

In April 2006 members and friends of the Clifford Township Historical Society, Inc. participated in their first "Adopt-A-Highway" event by cleaning up a 2 ½ mile section of Route 2014. In just a few hours, numerous large bags were filled with trash. The Historical Society has adopted that section of highway and will hold annual seasonal clean ups. In return, PennDOT has posted signs along the highway giving the Historical Society full credit for their efforts.

The Mountain View Garden Club and Idlewild Ski Shop have also adopted separate sections of Route 374. By signing two-year program participation requests with PennDOT to adopt sections of area roadways, these folks are showing a commitment to caring for the environment and maintaining our community.
